Savings over Romance

It's the season of love, all right, but i got no chocolates and flowers on Valentine's Day.

This year, Arnel and i took it easy - we had a lunch date at Saramsam.  Then we had a little meeting/chat with our friend/financial adviser over coffee before i headed to work.  He had to go to work, too.  As much as i wanted to spend the day with him, we both knew we had our obligations.

You see, i just got promoted from being supervisor to manager. :)  It is only proper that i take my job more seriously this time.

Also, another thing in my head is our business that we have been planning to put up for months now.  Yesterday, we started putting together the details; it's exciting and nerve-racking at the same time as this is our first attempt.

The rest of the day was spent at work where i took care of a gazillion of guests on Valentine night.

To many of us, Feb. 14 is Valentine's day.  To me and the boyfie, it's all about saving and planning for something big.  I am excited to finally be in a position where i have a lot to prove - the challenge excites me, and even more excited about soon having something to call my own.

It's a non-romantic yet productive hearts' day for me! :)
